McFam University Profile

McFam University was founded in 2011 in New Zealand  by eminent scholars  including  Emeritus Professor Kim Shyan Fam, President, MAGScholar and former Head of School of Marketing and International Business at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, Professor Forest Yang Zhilin, Department of Marketing,  City University of Hong Kong  and Professor Syed Aziz Anwar, former Dean of Research and Doctoral Studies, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, Dubai, UAE in response to the skills-development needs of countries in Asia, Africa, Middle East, Americas, Europe and the Pacific region.  It traces its origin to the Marketing in Asia Group Scholar (MAGScholar) that was established on 8th of July 2007 as a strategic initiative to generate useful knowledge for decision makers in New Zealand and elsewhere in the world.

The establishment of McFam University in 2011 is remarkable as it has been successful in creating global networks anchored in quality and excellence to gain credibility and international recognition. Moreover, it has brought research to the centre stage of its core activities and has designed a life-long learning model in line with the aspirations of the fast-developing countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
